Guild of Food Writers Workshop in Westminster Kingsway College

Enjoyed a workshop last night organised by the Guild of Food Writers in Westminster Kingsway College, London. It was presented by Jenny Chandler, a fellow member of the Guild and author of the book Pulses. The workshop was all about pulses and British pulses in particular. 11th June – Cooking and Serving at a fundraiser

Saturday 11th June was a significant day for me. I cooked and served a sit-down meal for 40 guests in Ascot, Berkshire. The event was held in order to raise funds to enable South African children to attend school. It was so satisfying!

Invite to the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to London

I was invited by the Czech Tourism Board to attend a presentation last night at the beautiful residence of the Ambassador of the Czeck Republic to London. I was so inspired by Czech cusine, culture, natural beauty and above all the excellent medical care that they provide. What a wonderful experience it was.

First BCA Cookery School lesson gets underway

The first Indian cookery lesson got off the ground on 4th June at Mridula’s Indian Cookery School. A student is getting a hands-on experience in making indian cuisine including seekh kebab and garam masala at the brand new kitchen in Berkshire College of Agriculture.

Visited an award-winning Indian restaurant in Chelsea today with a foodie friend from LA. There are some really unusual dishes on the menu which are wonderful. Definitely worth a visit by any Indian food lover.

Windsor Castle – Champagne and Canapés Party

It was a privilege to be invited to the home of the Governor of Windor Castle for a Champagne and canapes party on 27th May. Always great to see all the members of Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society of which Her Majesty the Queen is the Patron. Thank you Sir James and Lady Nicola for so graciously hosting us all.
