Enjoyed a workshop last night organised by the Guild of Food Writers in Westminster Kingsway College, London. It was presented by Jenny Chandler, a fellow member of the Guild and author of the book Pulses. The workshop was all about pulses and British pulses in particular. As the UN declared 2016 Year of Pulses there is much interest now in this neglected superfood! You can create all sorts of interesting and delicious dishes using beans and pulses which are packed full of protein and fibre and other vitamins and minerals. Make more of pulses and look out for my monthly recipes using pulses. The picture shows a sprouted beans salad which we all enjoyed during the workshop.
