I was invited to the Taste of British Columbia organised by the Government of British Columbia in association with High Commission of Canada at the Aveqia Centre, London EC4. Taste of Canada showcased seafood, fresh produce, high end niche packaged goods and wines. This was a private event with around 125 professionals in the UK food and wine industry attending. Famous Vancouver chef Nathan Fong created and demonstrated various dishes throughout the afternoon, and we were able to sample these gorgeous dishes. A variety of Canadian wines were served throughout the afternoon.
I was most impressed by the healthy and tasty packaged food which were offered to us. The entire afternoon was very enjoyable. It was a real treat to be able to taste wild smoked salmon, sockeye salmon in dill burre black with mustard miso and geoduck chowder, all created by chef Nathan Fong.
