This year we are celebrating 70th Anniversary of our patron, Her Majesty, the Queen. The highlight of the evening was, as always, a walk around the stunning Moat Garden. Part of Moat Garden
Fun time in Marlow at Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park event in May 2017. Bubbly, barbecue, food and wine tasting, cookery demonstrations and music. The sun shone, music played everyone got into the party mood with their favourite tipple in hand and danced the evening away! The highlight of my evening was being able to chat to my food hero Raymond Blanc. He was so very charming.
I had the most enjoyable foodie trip to Switzerland recently where I cooked for 62 guests at a private gathering. The restaurant Johann by Jay is the brain child of chef patron Jay Kumar and he invited his best clients to come and savour the food produced by our joint efforts. It was a fun event and everyone enjoyed my innovative menu. Jay and his team were extremely helpful which made the event a great success. It was such a … Read More
A recent visit to one of the top Indian restaurants in the UK was Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden, right in the heart of London’s theatre land. I had this watermelon chaat (pictured above) which was super healthy with pomegranate seeds and amaranth with the deeply delicious taste of date chutney and rich, crunchy roasted cashews … Read More

Great fun at the launch party of the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society’s 2017 Summer Show. This year’s Summer Show is on 15th July on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Among the celebrities attending the launch party were Marke Tilling, the winner of Creme de la Creme Bake off 2016 and Master Chocolatier as well as Bill Buckley, presenter BBC radio Berkshire. Plenty of local artisan producers displayed their produce including chutneys from Mridula’s Kitchen.
I had read about Chef Rohit Ghai and his fabulous creations of contemporary Indian dishes. The unusual sounding name intrigued me as much as the images of the food I had seen. Jamavar is named after a rare and exquisite 16th century shawl from Kashmir. Finally I made it to Jamavar with a friend, and upon entering the restaurant, which had a very pleasant and modern interior and soft lighting, a feature I love in any restaurant, I knew … Read More
